The Inspectors was shot at dusk in the Imperial Palace Park in Kyoto, just before the sakura (cherry
blossom) opened in full, and reveals people in thrall to the chase of an ephemeral natural phenomenon before it is abundantly present. The Inspectors contains no staged footage.
The Inspectors was produced with support from Art Office Shiobara, Tokyo, and the Great Britain Sasakawa Foundation.
